These are the tracks for the Pop Open, week one. Theme: sex.
[ROUND OVER – TRACKS UNLINKED]
What is the Pop Open? It’s a game we’re playing over at the Poptimists LJ community. It’s too late to be a contestant but not too late to be a voter (you need to be an LJ member though).
If you want to comment on the tracks do it there not here – but shhhh! don’t reveal which the ones you know are!
NOES it wasn’t meant to be on the front page!
where do you want it?
Nowhere – just existing so I can link on LJ. I’ve been trying to untick the “FT” box and save it but it keeps reticking it. :(
sounds like you want it as a ‘page’ rather than a post. if it’s a post it will appear in the various ‘blog’-like bit of FT depending on categories and timestamps. if you do a ‘Write Page’, copy across the text and give it a sensible name in the ‘page slug’ – you get a spanky new url https://freakytrigger.co.uk/slug_name which you can link to from wherever
Well it’s not doing any harm now – I will edit this post though. In the meantime nobody identify any of the tracks though!
well done for streaming them tho, this option works best for me
keep an eye on # of downloads tho if u please (just in case they balloon)
When you just play a song does it register as a download (I suppose it would do but is it as costly in bandwidth terms if they don’t play the whole song)
there is no real difference if you play the whole song, yes.
the ‘buffering’ (progress of the green bar) of the file in the background is the mp3 reaching your browser, so if you see it ‘fully bufferred’ it is the same bandwidth usage as a full download, and this can happen before you give up.
eep with the possible bandwidth there too :-(
so, a good time to do my 30 mins ‘best of’ podcast then.
What I will do is say “If at all possible download the zipfile”
tom, if you’re concerned about bandwidth – try zspace – it lets each user choose whether to stream or download. (personal interest also – i often have to try for several days before sendspace let’s me in)
Great tracks. How do I download them? Download link opens them in quicktime.
Jerald, if you click on the link to the livejournal post, and then on the link within THAT, you’ll find a sendspace page with a zipfile of all five.
Right-clicking the “download” link on this post works for me, though.
