WHAT WE PLAYED AT THE 90s INDIE NIGHT FROM A SLIGHTLY MORE SOBER PERSPECTIVE

It would appear that Tom below went to a different Indie night to the one I appeared to be DJ-ing with him at. Mind you the amount of booze imbibed would bamboozle the best of memories. I’ll just say that of the tunes listed below She’s So High and Girls and Boys were nowhere to be seen. It was all a bit of a blur though.

My DJ-ing skills have wholly deteriorated since the early nineties. My trademark amusing mix of the Inspiral Carpets and Carter USM’s versions of “This Is How It Feels” was executed at the wrong speed and sounded awful. But then a lot of the records sounded awful… The fascistic bald Aussie barman ended us in our prime before we got on to the magic solid final half hour. So halfway through Supergrass’ Alright our time was up.

High Point: Probably the Paris Angels. Still sounds great. And Steam by East 17 which oddly Tom lists amongst the bad below. Surely some mistake.
Low Point: Accidental playing of the B-Side of the novelty comedy hit “Star Turns On 45 Pints”. And for that matter the 7-inch mix of Come Together by Primal Scream which has the lousiest singing on it.
