Where:
1 did Rajam captain the MCC?
2 did the chauffeur confess to Pinky’s hit and run?
3 did the doomed old man ride on a long-eared, cream-coloured donkey?
4 did the Irish orphan play his eponymous Jewel Game in the spymaster’s shop?
5 was the elephant, earlier acquired for £2,000, given to the mahout by the grateful globetrotter?
6 did the peg-legged Jonathan witness the murder of the treasure-carrying Achmet by Abdullah Khan?
7 did the doctor remove the bullet from beneath his own pericardium, aided by M’Allister?
8 were three nuns frightened, when a fellow passenger removed his clothes?
9 did Antony attempt to blackmail Ronny’s sometime fiancée?
10 did Skene allegedly shoot his wife?
Woah, Cerebus! It's always good to see someone diving deep into this classic. Sounds like an intense, but worthwhile journey.…
I’m pretty sure (6) is from the Sign of Four (there’s always a Holmes question, isn’t there?). I think the backstory was set in Agra – not sure if that was where the murder in question took place.
I think (5) is from Around the World in Eighty Days, but I can’t remember the exact route in question.
An Indian theme, I presume?
(4) is the Kipling question, it’s the Kim’s Game episode from Kim, Kim being the Irish-Indian orphan (it’s a memory game and to help remember you associate each item with — for example — a room in a large house). However I forget which Indian city this episode takes place in.
#7 is from blimmin’ Patrick O’Brian AGANE. So, somewhere with a port – Calcutta probably
#9 has Agatha Christie vibes, but that’s a guess

Is 9 from A Passage to India in that case – Adela is definitely engaged to Ronny but the engagement is broken in the end. Not sure I can remember an Antony though.
