God I have had enough of that pseudo-profound muppet speaking asyntactical gibberish who Americans found so bizarrely compelling in the 80s … take that photo of him down please.

Big fan of Yoda though.

Ha!

Question for Continental / cosmopolitan readers: how does Yoda talk in French?

Presumably in German, he puts his verbs at the beginning of his sentences.

Re 3: French isn’t my province, so I consulted a book I have in Spanish titled Alégrame El Día: El Cine De Hollywood En Sus Mejores Frases, but unfortunately, although it tells me that at the end of El Planeta De Los Simios Charlton Heston shouts – ¡Al final lo hicisteis! ¡Malditos seais! ¡Malditos! and in El Resplandor Jack Nicholson apparently says – ¡Aqui esta Jack! (I guess on the grounds that Aqui esta Johnny would be meaningless), the only line from La Guerra De Las Galaxias it mentions is the thoroughly unexciting – Que la fuerza te acompañe.
