well MS, while beyond grebt on stuff like “giblet pie” and “POISON”, is actually kinda hard to look VERBS of cookery up in, so this is a provisional answer until i have more perusing time, but “Fried potatoes, French style” (viz: crisps) shd be done in “clarified dripping”!!
