The Lollards return to Resonance FM 104.4‘s London studio with host Elisha Sessions. He’s joined by Alix Campbell, Magnus Anderson and Alex Macpherson for a discussion of KID POP – kids who sing pop and what pop kids like – not really the same category, as we discover (bling-eyed svengalis take note). We hear singles from our panelists, Frank Kogan talks about old television and why people fall out of love with music, we hear 9-year-old Willow Smith’s new single and of course we share the hotly anticipated results of the FT kid pop poll with you.

Will this be turning up on the old (or a new) podcast in iTunes, for those of us who would like to take the Lollards on the move?
A note on the Karate Kid films Magnus mentions and then gets a wee bit wrong. The first THREE Karate Kid films star Ralph Macchio (who was about ninety when they made them), but there is a fourth: The Next Karate Kid, which is indeed about a girl played by no other than multiple best actress Oscar winner Hilary Swank!
It took a long time, but it’s finally popped up in the iTunes directory as per usual. (See links top right)
And Eli, do you really not know Shanice’s I Love Your Smile? Really?

I also thought Shyheim was a girl, apparently. I used to hate that when I was a kid, salespeople calling on the phone and saying, “Ma’am…?”
OMG Girlz update: “Pretty Girl Bag”!!!!
That couplet which scandalised the others still delights me – “my mama keep me flawless and my daddy keep me paid/they know I get lawless when I don’t get my way” <3
