Castles

Castles suddenly became much more important late in the 16th Century: a nation at war, with the new ingredient of plentiful gunpowder. We start to see mammoth stone bases, with the old kind of Chinese-style buildings, with their complex interactions of curved roofs, perched gracefully on top.
