Sources

This is where I list the books and websites I've looked at to write whatever I have on horror, when they aren't already listed elsewhere. I'll be honest about my opinion about the sources, but don't take a lack of a review as meaning anything. It might just mean that I read the book long ago and have only glanced back at a few pages recently, so can't say anything meaningful. There will be a link to any websites referenced, but I'll offer book links to either Amazon so that you can buy the book if you so wish, or to a review page here, or both if possible. If there is no Amazon link, I couldn't find it on Amazon when I put the entry in here - that doesn't mean it's unavailable now. (And no specific endorsement of Amazon is implied by this - I'm just trying to be helpful.)

Japanese Ghosts & Demons ed. Stephen Addiss (review) (buy it)

Elsewhere, there is a good introduction to Japanese supernatural creatures, by Tim Screech.
