Portrait Sculpture

We've seen the new humanity of sculptures of the Kamakura period thanks to Unkei and his son Tankei, and I've mentioned the new Zen approach to portraiture. These things obviously also led to court portraits, and we see here a tremendous statue of the first ever shogun.
