Samurai Painters by Stephen Addiss and G. Cameron Hurst III

A slightly pointless volume, in that there isn't anything terribly distinctive about paintings by samurai, but Addiss is an expert, and the artistry of Japan's warrior class interests me. It's low on text, just a quick summary of the history of samurai and their artistic output, accompanied by lots of large high-quality repros, especially of paintings by the wonderful Musashi Miyamoto.
