Isabelle Huppert is fantastic in it!

Always look out for his bks in 2nd hand shops.

Whilst “The Next Life” may be appropriate to the situation Charlie Sheen finds himself in, penned in by police at the Mexican border, the suggestion of Brett Anderson of going down to Worthing and flogging ice-cream til the factory’s on its knees seems less useful!

I would recommend the Grifters as a perfect afternoon beach read, with its fantastic anti-happy ending.
