Olympic Question?

If there are “202 National Delegations”, how come there are only 193 (plus Palestine and Taiwan) Nation States in the world? And the Vatican haven’t even sent a team…

(NB i am trying to work out the answer to this myself, but a quick link to the differences would be handy ;))
