    The answer must be that there pretty much weren’t wedding DJs before 1978.

    I went to plenty of weddings before 1978, and I don’t remember a DJ at any of them. Far too rock and roll. Think of the great aunts!

    (But if there had been, then they would have been playing Tie A Yellow Ribbon on a loop.)

    Pre 78.. Educate yourselves people… Lilly the pink, o bla di o bla da, hi ho silver lining, when i’m sixty four, okey cokey, twisting the night away, the twist, twist and shout, shout (lulu, not tears for fears) the israelites, etc etc etc.. I was a child of the 70’s and witnessed many a wedding disco..
