The miscredited MP3 problem

The miscredited MP3 problem not only leads to ignominy for Freaky Trigger, but (far more importantly) leads to extreme annoyance for me. Perhaps Napster should have a rule whereby any incomplete songs should be removed from the owner’s shared folder or at least have the name appended accordingly? Once we’ve got that done we can try and get people using ID3 tags, using the right names for songs and artists, having the correct track numbers on album tracks…

Obviously Tom’s problem is so widespread that people actually do visit www.sysqo.com to enjoy that Javascript nightmare. The problem’s so bad I even find myself wanting to listen to a physical copy of records every now and again. What’s the world coming to when I can’t enjoy my pirate copies of music any more?
