Pop… Pop… Pop Musik!: A nice person writes in to ask where nylpm’s name comes from. Well, it comes from M’s 1979 hit “Pop Muzik”, and you can find the lyrics here. I had huge qualms about linking to this site because i) the song did not come out in the ‘early 80s’, ii) the lyrics aren’t rubbish (I’ve quoted them for lord-knows-how-many Freaky Trigger articles…not that that’s much of an endorsement…), iii) there’s a big picture of Ronald Reagan. But information wants, as they say, to be free.
