(4) sounds like Romulus and Remus. In (7) Matilda’s son was Henry II so this sounds like a Thomas Becket reference.

I can’t quite see what the theme is, so I’m not sure exactly what the actual answers are to the above…

(5) is Tosa

I think I have (with some Google help) established what this round is about. “Round and round and round” being the big clue. This being an IOM based quiz, I had feared local knowledge would be required, but in fact the theme looks to be more international than that.

So, to expand on the above: I think these are all turns, curves or corners on Formula 1 race circuits. Found a Tosa (at Imola), a Beckett (at Silverstone) and a Remus (at the Österrichring)

Ah, nice! Looking at a couple of the tracks, I notice there is a Tarzanbocht at Zandvoort, which is back on the calendar this year; Kerchak (#10) was an ape king in the Tarzan universe.

And the Circuit de Monaco has a turn called Massenet; Jules Massenet’s opera “Don Quichotte” premiered on 19 February 1910 at the Opéra de Monte-Carlo, sez Wiki.

(6) ought to be Monza, given the Italian connection, and indeed Monza used to have a “Curva del Vialone” – Vialone Nano is the rice used for risotto. It’s now a chicane renamed after Alberto Ascari, who was killed there.

With the Italian link, number six should be Monza; the city even used to have a “Curva del Vialone” (the rice used in risotto is called “Vialone Nano,” hence the name of the street). A chicane, now commemorating the life and death of Alberto Ascari.
