Dalek suction thingy under-estimated here. It was used to deadly effect in both ‘Dalek’ and ‘Doomsday’. And it doubles as a means of perusing the internets, which may be the scariest monster of them all.

Actually Rod McKuen wrote “Beat Generation” and his original version, backed by the unlikely Bill Haley and his Comets, is on the Beatsville album. Well worth searching out, even if he does come across at times like Auberon Waugh sniggering at Those Feckless Freeloaders*.

*band name there if anybody wants it
