“Mindless Boogie” made it to #46 in the spring of ‘79 (so says chart stats). I think I prefer “Good Times” as a disco commentary song, but thanks for playing it! (and the Slade too).

Yes, all those references to clones, the Jonestown massacre etc. were a bit too much for our wonderful radio playlists so it didn’t do as well as it ought to have done but it’s an extraordinary single; rather like Talking Heads’ Fear Of Music: The Mickie Most Remixes!

Jools was hovering like a boggart in the background - we knew if things got tight we might have to mention him and it spurred us on to greater lows of nonsense.
