Maybe if you got the lyrics correct you would interrupt the song with less prejudice. Bruce does not sing drink “less” the correct words are “drink THIS and you’ll grow wings on your fee”

Not only would I accuse him of being stupid, I would knock him down with a feather.

Of course Dury’s Dad in the most boring biographical song EVER, later becomes a chauffeur and so I thought best not to mention it in a song about bus drivers. And truth be told, even someone curse with a nigh on perfect memory for terrible tracks forgot the Blockheads lameo-jazz-funk on My Old Man.

(Whilst being driven home by my chauffeur the other night I noticed that 18 was now a bendy bus apropos to nothing. So it would have been more accessible to a Spasticus like Ian).

Interesting views, but you got some lyrics of “Does this Bus Stop on 82nd street? wrong.

It’s not “Drink less and you’ll grow wings on your feet”, it’s “drink THIS and you grow wings on your feet”.

He was predicting the future advertisement campaigne for an energy drink!

I read with interest your summary above. The vitriolic diatribe that you seem to have spewed from somewhere dark and dank is depressingly inaccurate and utterly devoid of any inpiration or insight.

You’ve succeeded only in proving – very convincingly I might add, that you posess little or no knowlege on the music, reputations or motivations of either artist and that a deep seated unhappiness provides the personal backdrop for this dissapointing effort.
