One of the downsides of having a caveliar approach to the lives of your supporting characters is that your audience stopped caring who lived or died in 24 a few seasons ago. This removes a bit of the tension. About the only excitement left in 24 is watching them desperately trying to make it exciting (which has resulted in two recent cliff hangers being people lying directly to the audience about that they are going to do).

I actually managed to watch S04E01 the other night and it felt like I'd never ditched the show! When I've caught up on BSG and Lost finishes in a few weeks I can concentrate on this more (but then introduce Veronica Mars finally oh noes). I am having trouble getting into The Wire after just 1 and a half episodes.

24:2424 is my proposal anyway - Bauer was cryogenically stored and is now needed to fight off alien/robot terror threat in dystopian blah blah. i think Rutger Hauer is available (BAUER VS HAUER).
