This sounds plausible, and yet seems implausible, that it WILL be tested.

I read something once, written by real honest-to-god wine experts, like in a food column in a newspaper, about: what's the deal with drinking white wine cold and red wine at room temperature. And this article said...

THAT THERE IS NO MORE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN RED AND WHITE WINE, THEN THERE IS BETWEEN, SAY TWO DIFFERENT KINDS OF RED OR TWO DIFFERENT KINDS OF WHITE.

They gave PROFESSIONAL WINE TASTING EXPERTS samples of red and white wines, all at room temperature, with blindfolds on--and the experts COULD NOT PROPERLY IDENTIFY WHICH WINES WERE RED AND WHICH WERE WHITE.

Apparently, we use temperature to DECIDE what color the wine is. Cold=white, RT=red.

Hence, that if we want to drink our red wine cold (perhaps even with ice cubes?), we shouldn't feel like neanderthals.

What do you think.
