		<description>Of course, just as the top 40 has gotten settled into the new world of download sales, the call is already out to have them account for plays from streaming services in some way (Spotify, last.fm etc. - even Youtube? that would be a technical nightmare...)

That would surely be an altogether more radical change to the chart.</description>

		<description>If Jackson had spent a few weeks actually in a coma I don&#039;t suppose it would&#039;ve made a difference in that I&#039;m sure his songs will linger in the charts all Summer if not for the rest of the year now (maybe even a Christmas #1 is on the cards).

I can&#039;t decide whether the democratisation via downloads is good or not when it comes to these situations. I just end up wondering who exactly is buying the songs anyway (do kids actually buy? don&#039;t DJs have the essentials already?).

As for the charts themselves I was wondering whether they bother playing stuff that drops from e.g. 26 to 29 after two months in the chart. This is where airing the remixes, b-sides and alternative versions may be useful.</description>
