There aren't many of their recurring characters which have been that radically made-over (I can think of maybe a few stabs a Rogue Trooper). As for Dredd, everything he has done is in continuity* and there hasn't been much variation to his presentation. Sylvester Stallone notwithstanding. *Including his meetings with Batman!
