Problem with AVP2 is that its characters may be dull and unsympathetic but none of them struck me as real. You have these utterly unsympathetic protagonists who the movie can't put in even the bare minimum in trying to make interesting, and they go about their stupid, stupid little lives oblivious to the fact that their world is disintegrating around them. Entirely by accident, it caused the same reaction in me as Paul Greengrass's "United 93." I’ve said this before, possibly on this blog: I kind of liked AVP2, precisely because it’s so dull.
