I had forgotten about that Geoff (and really should have remembered when I compared it to BI above!) - it does make a lot more sense this way round, esp in the verse. What with this and Shut Up And Dance, Rave '92 has firmly sealed its submission to The Man...

What turns you on and what you want to be the soundtrack to doing it are not necessarily the same thing. The sight of Durga doing “Naked In The Rain” on TOTP sure did it for me. Another turn-on track which comes to mind – “Honey From The Bees” from Alison Moyet’s first album.

Durga McBroom is indeed the best name ever, I'm glad that got a namecheck.

Have you ever heard the record as it was supposed to sound? - as a remix / mashup of Bizarre Inc's "Playing with Knives" (hence the reference to Playing with Knives in the chorus). They couldn't get sample clearance so created a whole new backing track and the single was released. I remember reading that at the time (and loved both the original and this) but was too young to ever here this as it was supposed to be. Thanks to youtube I've finally rectified that nearly 20 years later...
