I always preferred the performance at the MTV Awards - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QbJ6UAk8Bp8 There’s a brilliant image at around 1:04 where you can see that, manufactured or not, they are quite enjoying themselves. It’s a pity they couldn’t maintain the quality in these two singles.

Also, is this the first TaTu thread anywhere which has got as far as comment @6 without mentioning the Smiths’ cover??

tatu were the first “manufactured” group since frankie GtH to look and sound as if they might pull off dramatising — in song and concept-alb form, as well as in production style — the svengali dynamic: just two wild girls on the run from the Evil Devices of their Manager (where said Devices entirely create the focus and force of the story of this flight)
