I don’t know how to respond to “the one that isn’t Peter Bradshaw’s” reviews - its not as simple as believe the opposite with Bradshaw. “The one that isn’t Peter Bradshaw” also moans that Wall-E lacks humanity, which seems a bit of an obvious criticism for a film about robots.
It’s also complete nonsense, WALL-E himself is packed with humanity, which is why the threat of it being taken away is a great moment of serious moral peril. Though there’s lots of proper peril for the kids.
