Man, I wish Big Portion did fish chips. I wish anywhere in Clapton did fish chips actually. There was that joint up the Upper Clapton Road, called NICE PLAICE, but health and safety shut it down for being a bit too maggoty, and I haven’t really fancied going back since it reopened.

nah, if you look about 35 seconds in you can see they’re skinny chips…

also, if yr getting a dollop of mayo and or ketchup in yr box, then i’d argue you do need a fork, otherwise yr fingers get all covered in sauce.

My very strong suspicion is that SFC is a combination fish/chicken joint and hence is serving FISH CHIPS with chicken. This is what the Southern Fried Chicken in Coulsdon does by the way.

FORK???? You do not need a fork for chicken shop chips, they are thin and easily-pick-up-able (unlike your fish shop chips which are generally lower in structural integrity and may require an fork).

Big Portion Chicken does a similar deal to Carsmile’s local, which I go for and end up with too much chicken, but it’s the only box that caters for my desire for 1 piece and 3 wings. I’m sure I could order items separately but that is so much more effort when drunk than muttering ‘value meal 6 pls’. The drink goes undrunk too.

Mayo and ketchup is complimentary, but best avoided as they squirt it all over everything, rather than depositing it in a handy puddle on the left, which is clearly the right and proper way of proceeding.

i have, perhaps foolishly, moved on to the “perfect value” box in my local: 2 x chicken, 3 x hot wings, chips and pop for £2.99, which is clearly more chicken than is needed, even if there is quite a lot of beer to soak up, especially as i never drink the pop at the time (fizzy drink + large pile of protein just before bed = even worse night’s sleep than just the massive pile of protein delivers).

“big up” if you will to red hot entertainment though, well done them.
