some things i thort of since i posted

a. haha the "catseye" and "lord of thunder" covers are totally the SAME IDEA -- i never noticed before
b. the first janus book is weirdly inadequate as a stand-alone, you need to have read the second before half of it makes sense -- but it does feature the GREEN SICK, which is how humans get turned into Ifts (they find Ift treasure and touch it and get ill and GO GREEN)
c. i made my best friend mark read JoJ and he HATED IT AND MOCKED ME: he was an even bigger tolk nut than me and adopted the name MABLUNG (= impressively minor tolk character) for himself
