Johnny Halliday to change nationality.
Where will the cheap jokes about French rock come from now? Can we expect a New Beat album?

We can always make fun of Eddie Mitchell (pron: “eddie mee-TCHELL”)

I get a french music video channel on cable, and they had an Eddy Mitchel video on recently called “Ma Nouveau Orleans”. It was set in a western saloon, and featured white cowboys taunting a black man who eventually kicks their ass, much to Mitchell’s approval. I think it ends with Eddy and a young black kid walking into the sunset. Some sort of Katrina statement I take it.
Last time Halliday showed up on same channel, he was singing the hook to some french adult contemporary sounding Hip-Hop thing.

err, “Ma Nouvelle Orleans”, it must’ve been, not “Ma Nouveau”.
