Haha I think the marketing press may well paint a very different picture of SecondLife than the Guardian then – I’m sure the various branding agencies don’t think it’s all furries and queer dragons.

There was a thing in the Guardian about this the other week. It featured a yellow triceratops who had been born a homosexual dragon, hung out in the furry bath-houses, had just bought a dungeon, and who prefered their Second Life because it’s where they feel pain. Cool?

It amazes me that people want to escape from their hectic everyday lives by doing exactly the same thing on the interweb. I don’t want a real dog as I wouldn’t feasibly be able to put lion’s manes or top hats on it*. That is why I play a computer game where I can.

*well I could, but it wouldn’t be half as much fun.
