I need to get a little less coy about the plugging, don't I?

Since Popular's Billy Smart has just made his Which Decade debut, with the comment "Wish I'd known and had voted in the previous years", I feel it to be nothing less than my PUBLIC DUTY to scream AS LOUD AS I CAN to the Popular Comments Crew:

<a href="http://tinyurl.com/wd2009" rel="nofollow">OY! OVER HERE! YOU MIGHT LIKE THIS!</a>

Well, since Mike wouldn’t dream of plugging it himself, his essential “Which Decade is Tops For Pops?” is back! – over on the Troubled Diva website now and for the next fortnight or so.

Pitting years against each other and totting up the points to see which is objectively better? Nah, that'll never fly!

Anyhow, I just did a scoring of my own:

1981 - 214 points.
2000 - 219 points.

Blimey, that has surprised me a little...

Tommy – to be serious for a sec, blind people often use “sighted” vocabulary, and expressions sighted people might even hesitate to use in their company. Stevie Wonder once said “see you at the Rainbow on Saturday” while performing (IIRC) “Superstition” on TOTP. And David Blunkett condemned a paper put to a Cabinet meeting with the words “This has no vision”.

Ahh! 1981 - I remember it well. Like any other year there were great singles and really really crap singles playing in the background as you twiddled with your rubic cube. Tom and Greg should be thankful for having not even heard some of the songs on the list. Stevie wonders' "lately" is reminiscent of "gloomy sunday" by Billie Holiday. I'm sure the 1981 suicide rate went up during THAT records tenure in the charts.

Random revive for lots of little reasons. But is this RLY tom giving Anika null points? Also, Greg needs to explain "Will be forgotten in 20 years’ time" about "Oops".
