Pitchfork Reviews Kirsty MacColl
Pitchfork Reviews Kirsty MacColl: 7.0 is about right – the self-congratulatory tone Richard M Juzwiak takes over his faint praise is all wrong. We know you don’t like melodrama, Richard, we could have guessed that from your dismissal of “In These Shoes?” (and the snootily bookish style is a bit of a clue too – “laud with praise”!)
Hmmm, my huge-round-buying generosity
Hmmm, my huge-round-buying generosity stimulated, no doubt, by the fact that it’s nearly my birthday and I’m trying to spread an air of bounty and largesse amongst my friends.
However the really impressive thing was the way I remembered the round which consisted of numerous different drinks and then proceeeded to distribute them correctly despite being well and truly vodka-ed up.

John left the pub last night just as the large round reached it’s critical mass. And it was his round. The cur, and I had to pay for the taxi/ambulance. This on-line dissing is intensely liberating.
Radio Plus
Radio Plus gives you Emm! Pee! Threes! of stuff that John Peel is playing. All the usual suspects including Most Annoying Song Ever “I Have The Password To Your Shell Account” by Barcelona, the band who make Baxendale look like Kraftwerk. But there’s lots of good stuff too, probably. This link via methylsalicylate, whose spelling I only had to check twice this time.
