SoYouWanna fake being an indie rock expert? (link via Amp To Rock): I’m in two minds about this one. First off it tackles the indie scene with refreshing cynicism. But second off it actually seems semi-serious, and a lot of its musical judgements are just duff. The VU Reunion tour the “coolest show of the 90s”? I think not: I wuz there, and it’s the worst show I’ve ever been to. If the thought of an arena (half no-standing) of people waving fucking lighters and clapping along to “Heroin”, and Lou encouraging this, is your idea of a cool show then kindly never invite me on a night out.
Concluding verdict: not as funny as it could be, but you’ll end up reading all five pages anyhow.
